Performances
HTY offers live performances at our home, Tenney Theatre, on the grounds of The Cathedral of St. Andrew in downtown Honolulu. We also offer touring productions that will come to your school and are adaptable to your venue.
Residencies
HTY teaching artists conduct active, hands-on, creative learning experiences that engage students’ imaginations while directly addressing local and national standards and core curriculum. The teaching artist staff work directly with teachers to help extend student achievement in a range of subjects, from language arts to social studies to science in ways that significantly involve and engage every student.
Professional Development
HTY Drama Education staff offers professional development (PD) workshops for teachers and in-service education students, as well as training new drama education specialists. We offer workshops integrating classroom content with drama, music, dance, visual art and literature.
Digital Resources
Our online library of Drama Education resources offers teachers multiple ways to integrate creative strategies into daily lessons. There are instructional videos, step-by-step drama strategy guides, lesson plans with handouts and videos and connections to many different texts.
