Noelani elementary  Movie Night with HTY

Welcome to Movie Night with HTY, a special event for all Noelani Elementary School students, teachers and families. Movie Night is sponsored by the Noelani PTA! We are thrilled that you are joining us and invite you to watch all of these digital productions from 3/11 through the end of the month.  Just select the show you want to watch and enter the passcode on the flyer you received and enjoy!

We are also offering Noelani families a free month membership at HTY.  This includes tickets to live performances at our theatre, access to all of our digital content, and supports us as we bring professional theatre and arts education to students across Hawaii.

Mahalo to the PTA for making this event possible. We look forward to continuing our longstanding relationship with the Noelani community.

Just click on the graphic for the show you want to see and use your Noelani passwords (on flyer) to access the video.  Enjoy!

Adapted from the beloved storybook by Sandi Takayama and illustrator Pat Hall.

The pidgin-speaking Musubi Man, like the gingerbread man in the classic tale, is determined not to be eaten, and he sets out on a wild journey that takes him all the way to the sea. The show is designed to foster young children’s pre-literacy development and keiki are encouraged to interact and help with the storytelling.

These re-tellings of traditional fables from Japan and Okinawa teach important lessons of persistence, respect and kindness. Japanese and Okinawan music, language and culture are the heart of this performance featuring clever animals and a whole lot of fun for our youngest audience members and their families.
